I shouldn't, but I do.
My first Winnie the Pooh from my Grandma when I was 2 years old. Her engagement ring she gave to me. A needlepoint my other Grandma made me when I was ten. My favorite blanket with the satin around the edges.
I tend to be pretty sentimental...

Yes because sometime inanimate objects can represent special times and have a deeper meaning. There is nothing wrong with getting sentimental over objects or people.

Yes, but It is not the object itself, but the memories associated with the object. Sentimentality.

Like a child with a new toy, I suppose, until I know it has been done away with 4 good, at least I have memory of it. and hey, one less thing to take up space, the only torture is not knowing if it went to some bimbo who doesn't rate, or being told that's where it went. I know , I should leave the cad! I feel better now!

Yes. They become more than inanimate objects when you put so many memories into them.

yes, because the inanimate objects hold memories of the people who gave them to me. however, if something would happen to these objects I would still have memories which only Death or disease can take away from me.

Yes. I have a tendency to anthropomorphize stuffed animals...especially my Pound Puppy that I got the Christmas after I turned 7.
(Yeah, I still cuddle Cocoa every night! What of it!?)

Only if it brings back a memory, pent up feelings, etc. That's when an object becomes valuable, when you can look at it and remember
