Mr. Stern believes the recent incident involving referee gambling is an isolated incident and apparently thinks the rest of the NBA ranging from refs to players are squeaky clean. It would appear he should concern himself with a housecleaning and overall review of company policy. Personally, I think Mr. Stern owes Mark Cuban an apology and a refund for all those times he fined him for speaking out against the refs. Don't you think he would do well to at least listen to Mr. Cuban now?

Stern was trying to do some damage control, but yes he should be concerned. I don't know if he owes Cuban an apology. Cuban is very outspoken, sometime warranted and sometimes not.

Don't you think that if the FBI had more names they would have already been published and talked about until we want to throw up.

A lot of Donaghy's neighbors and friends were questioning his lavish lifestyle. Take a look at his house, even if he makes six figures, it was pretty elaborate. I don't know if others were involved, but several independent agencies have confirmed about 15 suspicious games and the only common denominator was Tim Donaghy. That would say it is isolated, unless every ref was involved. I find that hard to believe.

David Stern has to do damage control. This will go away as soon as the next athlete screws up or the next time a celebrity goes to jail. Lindsay Lohan could take all the press from the NBA here shortly.

Mark Cuban doesn't deserve and apology. He like so many other owners, GM's, and players need to learn to shut their mouths and use the proper channels. Most of his complaints dealt directly to his team not preparing properly and he blamed officiating. They didn't lose the finals because of officiating. They choked plain and simple, just like this season against the Warriors. Oh! I forgot Nelly had insider info!

David Stern had to say that. The integrity of the game is being questioned, if the head of the NBA comes out and says anything more than what he did say the future of the NBA is in trouble.

Fans/sponsors/TV etc.. aren't going to pay big $ to see the NBA if there is any question about the propriety of the league.

Mark Cuban has made a huge personal investment in the Mavericks. Trust me, Mark Cuban doesn't want David Stern to say anything other than what he said. The Mark Cubans are the ones who stand to lose in this, and lose big.

David Stern is worried about the integrity of the league. If it comes out that this is bigger than a single incident you can forget about the NBA, it's done.
