No. I suppose you're trying to make a case that the rich should not be taxed at a higher rate or that there should be a flat tax. Consider this. Businesses do not locate in areas were there is no infrastructure and utilities such as roads, ports, railroads, electricity, clean and ample water, sewers and a population of adequately educated and capable workers. When these basics are provided by a government, businesses and rich individuals invest in the country. Similarly, the government maintains a financial infrastructure of safe and transparent finanancial markets, an army and police departments and a system of laws regulations and courts, all of which make it safe to invest and build a business. The government educates the work force. Thus, corporations and wealthy individuals benefit disproportionately from the infrastructure, they use these resources to make their fortunes. They SHOULD have to pay more than the middle and working class individual.

My father was never rich but ran his own construction company and hired many people (never more than 3 or 4 at a time).
The point here is that one does not have to be wealthy to offer a job either.
I have seen a rich man lay thousands of people off, ship all the jobs to china and make millions more because of it. This is not just a story I heard. I have seen this with my own eyes.
What case are you resting?

Okay, can the rich profit from the poor? And why in the world would a person want to be a rich person's maid or gardener?
More wealth is created when the lower income and middle income people have disposable income.
When rich people collect money, it stagnates the economy.
