I actually have 2 C-section scars. The first is the so called "bikini" line. It is fairly small. The one that I have that will never go away is the one where they cut you up and down -on the diagonal. The first one is 24, almost 25 years old. The second took me a long time to get used to and to even touch it. The second scar is 19, almost 20 years old.
Eventually you learn to adjust and even ignore them.
I don't mean to scare you, just inform you of my personal experience.

It took me about 6 months before it started fading but it will never fade away. It is now 17 months later and it is still about 3 inches across and raised. But...most of the time the scar is so low you can't even see it in a bikini. I have heard that putting liquid vitamin E can help with the scarring.

After a few months my scar was fading but still noticeable. Now after four c-sections I doubt the scar will ever fade but even before my second c-section the scar was still noticeable.

hi there, i have had one c section already and another one is to come in 7 months. to anser your question, depending on how well it heals in the begining you will have minimal scarring. in my case you can barely tell. if you are doing a c section and are worried about wearing a bikini again someday, do not fret, the "scar" will be low enough that you can not tell.

it will eventually fade away, i have had 2 within the last 2 years, my youngest which is 2 months and its currently fading, but i recomend the binki line one, not the up and down one. binki one is easy to cover up on u and ur partner will see it.

My mom still has hers and it's fairly noticeable. Keep vitamin E and cocoa butter on it. It will probably lighten up in 2-3 years, the first year it will look really dark I am sure.
