I am not going by gender or color because we really and truely do not need a continuation of the dynastic circle, especially since we have had either a Clinton or a Bush in the White House for the past 19 years.
None of other candidates on either side of the aisle have done anything for this country except for Bill Richardson when he negotiated with North Korea to have them shut down their reactors in the 1990's.
Other than that, we need fresh ideas and new approaches to take this country back to the level of prestige it had prior to this administration. Anyone who insists on traversing the same path that this administration has walked or espouses to walk in lock step with it regardless of party does not deserve to be President.
The only person who seems to have voiced that has been Obama.

I'm a white woman, and I would rather have Obama...time to get the Clintons and Bushes away from the white house, we've been under the same two families since 1989..and all Hillary had to say about when asked during the debate was, "well, Bush shouldn't be in office"...but let's be serious here, I know we shouldn't judge her on her personal life...BUT...her husband did get a nationally recognized BJ and she was like ok, you can cheat on me in front of the entire nation and i'll stick by you....so...will she be a pushover in other ways??? and...will Bill make a good first man?
Obama, I believe, has a fairly similar standpoint on many issues but also brings to the table a younger outlook and has done the footwork of traveling around to the average American citizen and finding out what they value and want out of government...I am reading his book, The Audacity of Hope, and i love it. i truely believe that he wants to make a cohesive government that really gets things done for the American people.

I would vote for neither and hope and will work for them both to fail. I am a Republican and will be voting Republican.
If you ask preference I prefer Hillary, but not because she is white nor because she is a female, she is better than Obama for America for a host of reasons.

I don't care if the president is black or white or a man, women, or both. That's not how I base my judgement, but anyways I'm not voting for either one of them because I don't agree with either one of them on pretty much everything.

Neither.
My vote is for Fred Thompson.
And it has nothing to do with race or gender.
It has everything to do with political beliefs.
I am conservative. I do not vote for socialists, no matter what race or sex they belong to.
