It was Danilo Dolci (June 28, 1924 - December 30, 1997) He was called the Gandhi of Sicily. He first just wanted to help the poor of Sicily until he realized the stranglehold the Mafia had on the island. He was also awarded the Lenin Peace Prize despite the fact he was Anti-Communist.
