Too low of a temperature might be one cause, but also look to see if there might be eggs laid in the area. You don't say how large your fish is, so if it is a female, it may have produced a clutch of eggs (which will be infertile if there isn't a male in the tank).

Also, if the fish is new, it may just be trying to find a hiding place. The heater, or uplift tube on your filter might be the only convenient places in your tank. Angels like lots of plants they can swin into for cover, and you might not have this in your tank.

Its hard to tell, it could be alot of things. Make sure the heat is right in your tank, between 78-82. Also, make sure the tank does not have high nitrate or ammonia levels. This is caused by lack of cleaning, or the filter is dirty and needs changed. When these levels are high, fish have a hard time breathing. If it is an actual diease, you will need to look for more symptoms such as a bloated stomach, spots, or anything unusual happening with him.

angels are a tropical fish. all tropical fish like warmer water. angels tend to do better in water temps of 80-82degrees. they are also a teritorial fish this could be your angels staked territory if the temp is correect in your aquarium.
their diet should include blood worms and brine shrimp(i use frozen) as well as the floating dry flakes or pellets.
angels are members of the cichklid family of fish. if you have more than one you need at least three this prevents one from bullying the other.
hope this helps you out. the stor ei work for carries Barron books and they have a shrt book on angels you might try it for more.

Their either sick, cold or the water conditions are bad.

Make sure your filter is working 100%, and make sure you have been doing 25% fortnightly. If you haven't, then do a 25% water change today and then 15% water changes each day for the next 5 days to make the water safe again.

Please do not feed him for the next two days, you will only make the situation worse.
