No, but it's still rare to find a talented bass guitarist.

No and yes. With some people, it can come naturally, and others may have to work hard for it. Like me. Some people were born to play drums. Then others have to work for it. In which i did. but i think if you set your mind to play the bass guitar that you can do it. And within a matter of three or four months you could be rocking out like a real rockstar.

Loads of people can play the bass guitar but what makes bass playing rare, is how good you can actually play it...

No. But it is a valuable talent - almost every band needs a bass player and they are less common than guitar players.

Good bass players are hard to find. Take the time to really learn the instrument. Lots of practice and play with as many musicians as possible in as many genres as possible.

Listen to Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, Chris Squire, Steve Harris, Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan, Jeff Berlin and Tony Levin, among others.

the piano and guitar are the most difficult.

Drums and bass guitar aren't that hard if you have really good timing. If you were born with the gift of keeping time, then you were born with tallent for one of those. The drummer often listens to the bass for a little help keeping time.

i dont think so. i've been playing guitar for 3 years and it took me 1 to perfect an acdc song. but i tried it on bass and it took me 30 mins. Guitar is harder because there is more notes and it's played faster and there's chords and other combinations. sure bass guitars have more frets but jackson and ibanez have 24 frets too.
