they pretty much did. He can't go to camp while they investigate and then they will suspend him after the investigation. Rumor is his days in the NFL are done.

The NFL is taking its time in looking over the indictment and carrying out their own investigation before taking any punitive action against Vick. Right now Vick has been put on the equivalent of paid administrative leave while these allegations are investigated. This would be a common practice in any other type of business. It is important to note that Vick does not need to be convicted of any crime for his actions to be found a violation of the NFL's Personal Conduct policy.

Personally, I would have to believe that Vick will be suspended by the NFL for at least eight and possibly all sixteen games next season.

It hasn't hit the courts yet. Vick has hired big time attorney Billy Martin, and I'm sure Martin is reminding the NFL that so far, this is all just hear say, and rumors do not keep a player off the field. Vick, in the meantime, is acting like this is all just small change... which makes him a bigger scumbag than we previously thought. Come on... electrocuting a dog because it didn't win??? How low can a person get?

You and about another million of us!! Yes, I would like to be able to be the one who dictates Michael Vick's punishment.

If you are just hearing about this, look into more details of what he has done. Dog fighting is bad enough, but the dogs that wouldn't fight he executed in ways that are beyond comprehension.

He is guilty, I could give a crap what some of these other people are posting in reply to your comment, I totally agree with you.

If you will look at the thumbs up and thumbs down on each post, you will see how the majority sees this situation.

Michael Vick is a monster

I understand your anger, but Michael Vick is still only an alleged dog fighter. It is a difficult position for the NFL. It's tough to suspend someone who hasn't been convicted when it's only his first offense. It is not like the cases of Pacman Jones and Chris Henry who seem to be arrested every week. The Falcons have a lot of money tied up in Michael Vick so they have to be careful not to rush to judgement.

Also there is the players union. The league often has to battle them when the issue of suspensions comes up.

Aw come on with this stuff. If he is guilty he should be punished to the full extent of the law. I was filthy and vile before being saved by grace by the blood of my Lord. As for you gettin your hands on him Mr. Judge mental. He'd whip you like a runt puppy.

With a Union in place and a CBA, management needs to go about a suspension in the right way, otherwise when the suspension is appealed, it will be overturned. Assuming that happens, it sets precedent for the next player that manages a huge off field scandal, and makes it harder for the league to protect its image. I know its ugly, but let due process take its course.

He was told by the commish to stay home and not report to camp. Not to go to The Falcon's facility. Due process has to take it's course then they will do what they can with him. Even The Player's Association wanted him to voluntarily stay away. It doesn't look good for Vick. What a waste!!!!!!!!!!

It is to early to suspend him. Nothing is proven, remember the Duke Lacrosse scandal? I think if he is proven guilty that he will be suspended for a long time and as the person above me said the players association would throw a fit if he was suspended now...

Innocent or guilty doesn't matter so much right now..charges like these don't come from thin air. The NFL should definitely suspend him for now.
