Sure he is capable. He needs a running game, receivers, an offensive line, and a defense to succeed though. Brett Favre cannot carry the Packers on his shoulders like he has in the past.

I don't know he tried to be the old Brett Favre last year and just isn't. He doesn't have quite the arm strength or power he did when he was younger, he threw far too many interceptions and has no interest in helping Aaron Rodgers grow at all, and so he'll pretty much still be a rookie whenever Brett Favre decides to retire. Somebody needs to make a spoof of him like they did Roger Clemens. He'll be at Lambeau Field when he's 75 saying "where am I? I wanna play!" While Brett Favre doesn't have an amazing team around him, people have done more with less. He had more last year than Tom Brady did on offense, not to mention the Patriots are all really old now. Seriously, their 4 main LB's together have something like almost 60 years of experience in the NFL

Brett is one of the toughest quarterbacks to ever play the game. Is he capable of what? He is capable to play, even when injured. He is capable of retiring, while he is still remembered as a good quarterback (had he retired, three seasons ago, he would have been remembered as great). He is not capable of leading his team very deep in to the playoffs, if to the playoffs at all. He is not capable of throwing very many more touchdowns than interceptions, if any more at all. Brett has played the game very well. It is time for him to hang it up, and turn the team over, to a younger quarterback, of the future.

yes he is capable but he should have done what elway did his last two years in denver and that is to play for the league minimum so the franchise could build a team around him.the bears wont be as good, well the lions are the lions and the vikings have a second year qb starting so he has a shot at the playoffs but not the superbowl.

I for one am a huge packer fan. As much as i like Brett Favre. I think he is getting old. I think this will be his last year. He is getting worn out. Overall he still is good.

Brett Favre is still good. He can make plays and he can run an offense. He's still not as old as Vinnie Testeverde.

He's capable of throwing 30 interceptions this year and then taking 6 months to decide if he wants to play next year or not.

Yes! The guy can still play about as good as anyone. His ownership/management sure hasn't done him any favors the last few years though. They keep telling him they are going to get some players they need to win, and then they don't. They are wasting the twilight of a legend's career, and it pisses me off!
