It's highly unlikely that many would do it.

Not a Bush fan I take it? I fall on the opposite side of that realm. I don't know of anyone that would allow a chip to be put into their bodies. The only ones who wouldn't have a choice would be the only ones who would get them. Unfortunately, even though they didn't sign up for it; the military person are the property of the government, i.e. that is where G.I. comes from - "Government Issued". And therefore, since they are the property of the government, that very few that people believe it would happen to, have very little to say when their President and Commander in Cheif gives the order!

Unfortunately, yes giving the amount of liberties the American people already gave up all the government would have to is tell us they need this power. Shamefully, the American people will probably go along with it because they are too scared to think what it can do. Then all they have to do to make everyone comply is to make it to where you needed it for employment, buy groceries, or to function in society in order to live, then they would have no choice. There might be some resistance at first, however when people find out they or their family can't eat or survive they will eventually cave in and get the chip. A prime example of this is when they were debating the immigration bill they included a provision to have a Real ID in order to get employment. This would essentially force the state's and individual to carry a national id card.

If Bush invokes 9/11 a couple of hundred times, and says that Al Qaeda wants to steal your babies, and in order not to do this, we should all have chips in our arm, it might happen.

To make it certainly happen, he would consult with Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage, and tell them to mention many times on their shows that this is a good idea. Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and ABC news would also have to do stories on how chips will protect us from terrorists.

It's all in the way they keep hitting us with propaganda. P.T. Barnum said that there's a sucker born every minute. I think there's one born every second.

Logistically impossible. Morally repugnant. Constitutionally unsupportable.

I've been wondering if they are going to do this any time soon. I don't think that they will. Even the cons. would be against it, but if its required, I'm not going down without a fight!!

They would line up!!!!

"What...it's going to make me safer....here...use this arm"

"do you want to give me two in case one doesn't work"

"Can I pay you for it?"

They would run to Bush like the good little sheople they are. In fact, given the way people in the US are now, I am surprised that Bush hasn't suggested this.

Yes. And if Bush said that cavity searches are crucial in fighting the "War on Terror" because of some mystical "Butt Bomber" who supposedly got caught; they will gladly bend over and separate for Homeland Security.

If it got to the point where he ordered it, Americans would have no choice. We'd be captives of a police state.

If he keeps on the same path he wouldn't be able to. He's digging his own political grave and if he knows what's good for him, he'll stop.
