I'm thinking Andrea like a girl's name, because I know in Italy it's a male name.

I think Andrea is fairly common in the USA, Canada and UK too. I know a lot of andreas from all 3 places! :) Its a nice name tho. I dont know any males Andreas, only Andys! lol xx

Andrea as a girl's name has been in the top 100 most common baby names every year since about 1960. It was most popular in the late 1970s, and has been dropping since then.

Andrea is quite a common name for a girl, not over-used tho which is always a good thing!
my litlle sister is called Andrea but often gets called Andi for short which i think is cute!
andrea is the female version of the name andrew!

I think so, I know a little girl named Andrea and she's a nice girl. That's a great name for a girl.

Andrea is fairly common here as a girls name only in the USA. I really like it too!!

i dont think its too common. I know 2 ppl named andrea, but thats nothing compared to how many people I know that are named John.

It's not that common here anymore. I think that it was real popular in the 1980s but not so much anymore.

I think Andrea is a pretty female name, btw.

In the U.S., at least from people I've met, Andrea is pronounced An-drea for girls and On-Drea for boys. It's good for either one. My friends name is Andrea and everybody calls her Andi.

The only Andreas I have known have been females, and they have been 20 or older.
