USC has the best chance to go to the National Championship game because they return TEN starters on defense that completely shut down Mike Hart and the Michigan Wolverines offense. They also return a veteran QB, John David Booty, who can only get better in the offseason while helping the fresh, young offense (of top recruiting classes) develop. Another good reason, that is equally important, is Pete Carroll.
Then I'd say LSU, West Virginia, and Michigan.
LSU might have lost a lot of O but most of their defense is back and they play most of their hard games at home. West Virginia is pretty much the same team, plus they play Louisville at home. Michigan lost a lot of D but not that much, since Leon Hall and LaMarr Woodley weren't even that good in the last two games (Ohio State and USC).
Then it's teams like Florida and Texas that may get some flukes along the way especially Florida.

I'm ready for college sports to start period. Football is awesome, and I love my fall saturdays watching the games. But I really love it for those 2-3 months when football and basketball overlap. LOTS of good games to catch.
I like Michigan to have a chance out of the Big-10. But I am beginning to buy that the Big-10 is down and overrated.
That said, the SEC will likely produce the champ, but it won't be Florida. The SEC east is a monster and I think Georgia has the more favorable schedule. Florida has SC, LSU, and Georgia on the road. Gotta figure there's a loss in there somewhere.
LSU should come out of the SEC. I don't think USC will get to the big game (well, it's more like I don't want them to, I confess). But if they do, it'd be LSU vs USC and that'd be a GREAT game considering those two teams split the title in 2003.

I guess I'll be the first to say GO GATORS!! Because I am NOT a bandwagon fan.I am so sick of people saying "Well I used to like Miami but now...... and so on and so forth.
Does anyone remember like 3 or 4 years ago when Ron Suck was our coach? We lost 5 games every year and I still wore my Orange and Blue.If we lose every game for the next 2 years I will still be a GATOR!
With that said I do not think Florida will win the National Championship,we will win the SEC and will KILL GEORGIA.
I think it will be USC(Overrated)vs.West Virginia(weak schedule)for the BCS championship.Who wins?Who cares?

Nothing is more exciting then college football!!!! I am a Buckeye and Irish fan, but I think the National Championship is going to be USC v. LSU. This is a rebuilding year for a lot of teams, which is going to make for a fun season. One of those seasons where the top 10 changes every week.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

Man I am ready! Last year was a down year compared to 2005, but get ready - do you remember 2003 when LSU and USC BOTH won the National Championship? Something the crappy BCS was supposed to eliminate? Well, this year we will see that game that never happened in 2003 in the 2008 Sugar Bowl down in N'Olens.

It will be interesting to see the rankings. I find it infuriating when teams such as Boise State, West Virginia, Louisville and Rutgers make it to the Top 25. They play a bunch of high school teams all season and their squads never really have to be tested. Do you really think any of these teams could have beaten Texas or Auburn?
Even if they do make a good showing in a Bowl game, it is irrelevant since they get to field a healthy squad who has had 3 months of practice against a squad who has suffered injuries throughout the season.

WHOooooooooooooooooo one month left....
I think i'm going to go sleep for about 25 days so I don't have to keep thinking about all this............
Quote me on this but I think there's going to be some PISSED off people about BCS this year. More than anytime in history. No one in the SEC east is going to go undefeated. I think LSU has a shot at going undefeated but if not... There's going to be 4-5 schools with one loss that deserve to go. And the only undefeated team will be someone like the Rutgers or something... LSU over Michigan for the championship.

if your going to call any fans bandwagon its not the gators
they have sold out all their games for over 30 years no matter who they are playing, good or bad their fans have always supported them, so get your facts right
but i am ready for college football
sec media days started today i am anxious to hear what spurrier had to say,
but i think it may be usc and louisville in the bsc game
unless there is a one loss sec team then they will get the nod over louisville
