Yes- I would.. and I would try to hit Barry with it.
It seems the 'roid thing is happening in all sports, but it hurts your pride if you're a true fan of the game- you can't call it a thinking man's game anymore.
I really wish they hadn't taken away the pitcher's power by being so strict with inside pitches. Bonds wouldn't have half the numbers he does if pitchers had been allowed to back him off the plate his whole career like they were able to back in baseball's golden age. There is reason that time is referred to as the golden age.. because baseball was balanced... and I'm afraid it never will be again.
Now, there's nothing that baseball can do but watch an egomaniacal, sulf-indulgent, cheating player take away a record from one of the hardest working, bravest, best all around players ever. It's a shame, but it's what will be.

Every person that wants to do it is just plain retarded, wears a hockey helmet and waits for a short yellow school bus.
That would be just like throwing thousands of dollars into a paper shredder or sewer. I don't know of anyone that would want to be wealthy, but I guess people would rather be poor than catch Barry Bond's record passing HR.
Anyways, since I drive on the freeway everyday past that location, it's not called BALCO anymore. They renamed it "SNAC" in order to confuse the Barry Bonds haters without brain cells! That's why you called it BALCO!

I would love to write "cheater" and "steroids" across the two sides and throw it back but I don't think you would be able to. The person who catches it will be so hounded by fans and then security that you would never be able to. If it happens in San Fran and you tried that, there would be a lot of those Barry followers (that either have their head in the sand or are too stupid to realize he is a cheater) that would not let you do that. You would have to be surrounded by a lot of friends or it would have to happen at a different ballpark. No way the Barry watchers (they aren't really fans...not of baseball at least) would let you do that in their stadium.

Better way to go about it:
Find a corporate sponsor ahead of time, write their name on it then Balco, then throw it back. Get the sponsor to pay you $1 for getting their name enshrined in the MLB hall of fame.
or...
Keep the ball, refuse to sell it to MLB, still get the sponsor and wear their apparel at every press conference. When you've had your fill of fame & fortune, give it to your dog to play with.

Even better way to get even. Keep the ball. Don't even let him see it. Don't let the Hall touch it or see it. Not a picture, nothing. I'd lock it in a safe in and store it where no one could get it. To take away his legacy is the key and nothing makes a man like him happier then knowing that ball would be in the Hall or in his trophy case.

indeed the integrity of the game is worth more than any man can imagine
but that ball is gonna be worth a fortune. id do worse, more illegal things for less, so i think keeping that ball would be a price my soul could handle
id have enough money to buy a new one after that

Anyone who would throw that ball back would be an idiot, no matter how they think Bonds got the record.
