2010 and still no accepted definition of a slut. Look at all the different answers already. Vafa's answer is great. Dracula's on the money too, don't know why she got so many thumbs down. The reality is none of them are wrong because it is a word that changes constantly depending on who's using it, who they're using it to describe, and who is on the receiving end of the discussion. The interesting thing is that many of those Vafa referenced, the ones who are simply comfortable with sex, very sexual, and have plenty of self-esteem intact, have taken away a lot of stigma from the word by sometimes using it to refer to themselves. They are unapologetic and take responsibility for their own behavior and decisions. The word really doesn't bother them. They find it a little amusing. Someone calling someone else a duck does not turn that person into a duck. A MODERN slut is a slut if she, or he, believes himself to be. Otherwise, he or she is just one of many people on the planet. My guy laughingly gave me a well known military break down on derogatory names and the generalized macho male mentality. He said all the guys that have been in for a while know this phrase... - If a woman is f%*king all the guys, she's a slut. If she's f%*king everybody but you, she's a bi*ch. Might not be pc, but they tend to jab each other based on some grains of truth. P.S. I DID NOT SAY that all men think this or that all military men say this, before anybody gets bent out of shape. He was telling me about it as an example of something we were discussing.
