Yes, and the pain of that is almost equal to the pain of the sickness.

OMG Yes, my EX-HUSBAND used to do that all the time, one example: i had my tubes tied, and had minor complications from the surgery so i was laid out a little longer than the normal healing time, i couldn't get out of bed, stand up or sit for almost 2 weeks, by the fourth day he got so pissed and started yelling at me to get the FK up and clean and cook for him.....but whenever he got sick i had to baby him....hence that is one of the many reasons he is now an EX.

Not nearly enough. I wish she would more often!! If I am sick, I just want to be left alone. I do not need company, chicken soup, or a fluffed pillow. I do not need or want sympathy.
I know she is trying to help out of love. The best way to make me feel better is to leave me alone!
When she is sick, she wants someone to care for her, so I do it!

No, but he was more than happy to tell me after the fact how much he resented it, can't stand me when I am sick or have symptoms.
Too bad I didn't know what a burden he thought I was at the time, I'd have been sure to puke directly on him whenever possible - so at least he had something to actually complain about.

No way! My husband is extra attentive to me when I'm sick. He even helps around the house.

yes, that is why he is my ex.
my experience is men are much like children when they are ill they expect their every whim to be filled and lots of sympathy.
when a wife and mother is ill, she must continue to do all the tasks that need to be done.
maybe this is just my experience but is true of my friends also.
