I always think of someone taking over a schoolbus with a machine gun, or of the school shootings in Beslan. To the average American, a terrorist is visualized as an Islamic extremist, but terrorism is as old as civilization. If the U.S. did not meddle in international affairs so much, and did not support Israel as much as we do, we wouldn't even know what an "Islamic terrorist" was. That is simple enough.

However, I am personally lost on the issue. On one hand, I don't feel that we should be supporting countries to the extent that we support Israel, but ofcourse, they would be wiped out if we did not. Even though Israel was ilegally established after WW2, does that mean it's current residents deserve to be left to die? No. But we can't, like this administration, pretend like we support peace but then turn the other cheek and support Israel. Instead of saying, "Yeah, Israel shouldn't exist maybe, but what can their children do now? You can't kill them. Please, let's seek a compromise," we say, "Okay, you and your terrorists cannot be negotiated with and Israel will be here because we said so. If you fire any missiles, your people will face sanctions. That's all." THAT breeds anger and terrorism.

And earlier, I was talking about "meddling in international affairs." Well, as someone who supports upholding humanity, I do believe in helping Darfur... But when extremists start gunning at us, it's going to be like Iraq, only on a smaller scale, where our ACTUAL motive would have been to liberate people (at least that is noble). Ah.

The type of image you usually see on one of those video tapes with some one standing in front of a political image wearing a headband with political writing on it, explaining why he blew himself up in a school or someplace filled with women and children. It amazes me how many of these "geniuses" wrote George Bush. I can only hope that they each come face to face with the real thing, just once.

A misunderstood person with a family, and a body that flows blood same as mind, who has become like a caged dog.

The fact that these people we now call "terrorists" so easily and maliciously were once our allies that we fought along side with, then switched sides at our leisure, shows that they can be negotiated with.

But it also shows what a man will do to protect the family he has, avenge the family that were killed.

there can be a truce worked out.
But it takes intelligent, diplomatic people that truly want to and believe in peace.

But look at the fundamental muslim beliefs.
They are one of peace.

But when you have been treated as they have, neglected and left for dead -- would you begin to do what you have to?

P.S. I dont condone what they do to innocents.
But its a war that would never had needed to begin against us, had america kept true to its allies.

P.S. before people start tossign around how unamerican I am.
Ive volunteered to serve my country, and I think Ive earned my freedom of speech and the right to callmyself a patriot of the Unites States!!!
