I am passionate about nature and all that is related to it. My passion is what I am, it drives me and I will probably die for it if I had to. I realised that I had this passion for nature as a child. At school I aced biology and science. If I saw something that was unusual I'd be in the library swotting up on it and as an adult I'd have no hesitation in contacting an authority on a particular issue to get it straight in my mind.
How does one find a passion... probably a million dollar question. I think your personality and aptitude are the overriding forces.... it is in there somewhere. You just have unchain it. As a youngster I did a lot of hunting, which led to an understanding of the animals' feeding habits, their favoured habitats, how to track them, call them etc. The end result of this was that I learned to respect them because I understood what they were all about.. I turned vegetarian and conservationist through hunting.... never fired a rifle since then. One thing leads to anonther ; I am presently involved with local organisations that are centred on the preservation of our local fauna and flora. My present goal is to be able to identify the 850 odd endemic plant species in my home area and their traditional medicinal values.

There are positive spin-offs - I get to meet the most incredible people from all walks of life and get to see some of the most endearing human qualities. All differences in politics, race, religion, colour, gender etc are all set aside for the good of Mother Nature.

LOL, I guess this is kind of a given, since I'm in the sociology section, but sociology is the passion of my life. It took me years to find it. I didn't even have a major until I was 2 1/2 years into college.

Basically what you do is you try everything once, find something you like, and then stick with it. Passions are like spouses: they're just as much about comittment as they are about preference.

I am passionate about everything!! I get a huge grin on my face when i drive down the road and spot some flowers and birds. I love to help anybody that needs it. Be compassionate and devoute yourself to a noble cause. To find passion you need to find happiness first. You can be happy no matter what when you take pleasure in simple things such as a pretty flower or a sunset. Take time to notice the small things, especially in nature, that you overlook. You will learn that happiness comes in simple things and not in expecting everything.Embrace everything and learn. I hope this helps.

Think and Grow Rich
by Napolean Hill

It talks about desire and how to GET desire if you don't have it.

There are many modern versions; The Secret, Lead the Field, etc. - but THIS classic is still the best, because it has more information that most available.

My faith.

Helping others. I volunteer a lot and I've started my own organization to help others. It so awesome to be able to give back to others and the community.

I think you just need to get involved in a bunch of things to find what really inspires you. Even you have to go by yourself, you'll always meet someone.
