The best and easiest way to clear all the history and be sure to leave no traces behind is CCleaner.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

Also, I recommend using FireFox (you can even set it up so it clears the cache every time you close the browser!).

Huh? Sorry, don't know what you mean. If you are asking how to rid your system of temporary files such as websites you have visited, use your browser tools to accomplish this.

If you use Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options. On the General Tab, down under "browsig history" click the button to delete that history. Now you have rid your system of the webistes you have visited in the last few days.

You can also configure your browser to how you wish it to handle temporary internet files. You can determine how long to keep these on your hard drive, or have your browser delete them everytime you close your browser.

To configure how long your temporary internet files are kept on your hard drive, on the same Internet Option General Tab, click Settings under Browsing History. On the dialog box which appears, down at the bottom of the box is a spot to set how many days you wish your temp files to stay on your hard drive. I put mine to five days. I also have my browser set to check for updates to these pages automatically.

If you wish to delete all website history every time you close your browser, click on the advanced tab, scroll down the list until you find Security and check the box: Empty Temporary Internet Files when browser is closed, or words to that affect. Once you set this option everytime you close your browser your temp files are deleted.

Hope this helps, have a great day.
