That's fine, boot cut jeans are really in - very classic. And hippy tops - as long as it's not too huge, flowy, or tye dye, should be fine (like a tank top peasant top would work)
Plus, a 30 year old is still "hip"- as long as they dress body conciously.

lol we dont say hip no more - we say cool..
im sure you probably found out from the other posts but yeah - just sayin -
well (from a 14 year olds point of view) 30 isnt tht old to dress cool untill you hit 40 ur fine=)...- boot cut jeans - SO IN!
----- if u have more of a "slim" type of body dress how you want to!
---- if you hav more of a "fat" type back away from the tank tops & reveiling clothes cuz thts concidered as "trying too hard" (just sayin)
good luck & dont worry=)
p.s. dressing hip isnt dressing young (Y)

Well...I'm a 48 year old man who doesn't dress hip, and I think you should do whatever you're most comfortable doing. The advice about saying "cool" instead of "hip" is good...this week. You're far from old, so anything that isn't grossly excessive is perfectly fine.
Those who are young today can never avoid another generation thinking they are decrepit and foolish. It'll just take a bit of time.

I have to say it is a little odd for a 30 year old to dress hip.

Sorry, but some disco was good even though most of it was bad. There's even some good rap and some rap artists who are trying their best to fit into the mainstream and get away from the obscene lyrics. There are a few bad eggs and that taints everybody else.

I can't live without my boot cut jeans. I've gotten a little dressier with my tops, you have to look a little more put together, but it's more like a casual but chic type thing. I'm 32.

as a stylist..any female can dress hip, that is, if they shop at the right department (for you the women's section) and dress according to your size. Many females I've worked with feel that dressing hip means dressing young..like teens but not so..you can look young and "hip" if you just shop with reasonable methods..Something a woman should dress like is..
