I had a big problem with asking for help. Expecailly when I didn't know I needed it. And when I did ask, it was for the sake of someone else. I was rejected.
Later I was often offered help and had problems with that! until I could go no further. So I went back in time and asked some one for help I failed to return it. I spiraled downward (as predicted). I was too determined not to quite untill my determination consumed me and it turned into shame. That"s the short story version. anyhow...... In answer to your question. .....
I've had many who claimed to love me and force there "help" opon me costing me more than I had to spare. I than only accepted from those I chose to trust and based my lifes decisitions on empty and false promises. (this my dear is a baaaad idea)
BUT. Well yes and no...... sometimes true loved ones can see things more clearly expecially when you've fallen, you may not accept that you fallen but ..... well..... a wingless angel can only go so far. Getting mad is part of the process I guess. Take some time to evaluate what's going on. Then accept help when it's offered not many people have that kind of option. And if someone loves you enough to think about you, you owe them the time to reflect on it. Pride can sit in the back seat at times. You can't do life alone, you'll go mad. Let someone who cares care.....

I know how you feel. Sometimes people help me with things and I just feel stupid because I couldn't figure it out myself, but this happens to everyone so don't worry too much about it.
I mean, if you think about it, even teachers have teachers and a lot of psychologists need their own psychologists. Even Albert Einstein had to ask for help in his math class from time to time.
Obviously, no one is perfect and we all have different strengths and weaknesses. One friend can help another on a subject that is his strength but his friends weakness while his friend can help him another time, the other way around.
Try and keep this in mind when you need help, and even though it still might be a little frustrating that you couldn't find the answer you needed by yourself, don't stress over it too much.

Don't be so hard on yourself it is normal to have to have help from time to time.

Perhaps you were raised in an enviorment that the norm or cultural teachings were that asking for help is something to be ashamed of but from a purely psycological standpoint this is an unhealthy attitude to have. It can actually be self defeathing and hold you back from great achievments.

So don't feel bad about asking for help once in awhile. No one has all the answers and who knows maybe getting over this one little obsticle in your way could lead to a great discovery and a great future.

Yes i can definitely relate. Things in life are not meant to be dealt with alone. It sounds to me like you're turning to isolation because of something more serious that you feel guilt, shame, or embarrassment about. We are all hear to help each other. I have struggled with an eating disorder and believe me, i wish i could have done that alone. But it took a lot of people to help me through and i made it out alright. Sometimes i would get frustrated with myself that i always needed their help to not be so psycho, but then i realized that the same way i needed them, other people like young children, and even the people who helped me needed my help too. Accept the fact that life means asking for help sometimes, even when it's uncomfortable.

Of course! I personally hate to ask for help and sometimes feel like a jerk for it, but there are times when other people can see the way out. If you're too close to the situation it can be very daunting to try to think "out of the box". Try not to beat yourself up too much. We all need help sometimes.

If it is going to make you angry when they help you...then stop asking people...why do you ask people, when it is going to anger you when they try to help you...that is called the learning process, unless you think that you know it all, and no one else understands anyway...The smartest people in this world, took good advice from someone else, and used it.

its called life. your not suppose to know everything. If you knew everything then you would be a genius and your life would be boring because you already knew everything. The best part of life are the experiances.
