Degree was VERY handy, since they wouldn't hire anyone without one!
The actual classes, thouhgh, don't really apply. Many people believe that there are many things that are learned in the process of getting a degree that are needed for higher positions.

Yes of course they did, otherwise I wouldn't have got the job. Part of your assessment is not so much what subjects you have passed but the fact that you have proven your ability to reach a certain standard of skill and knowledge in a variety of topics. That demonstrates to the employer of the intelligence level you have and the fact that you will be able to master the skills needed for your job.

Its a catch-22...If you have the education, they claim you don't have enough experience, but if you have nothing but experience you don't make any real money becuase you don't have the education behind it...
I think its better to have the experience...you can always go back to school/ take an online class or something...

Ha, ha ha. I spent big bucks to study law. Got a degree and everything. Went to work for lawyers and learned they are a bunch of liars.
Be sure you will like what you do before you waste all your time, money and scholarships on it.
Volunteer first!

Completely unrelated which makes the money I'm still paying on my loans (and probably will be paying for a while) seem so worth it.

It came in handy - but in my field the experience is much better than education.
