I can sometimes be very loyal.
Sometimes to my own detriment.

Without a doubt, my best asset has nothing to do with physical appearance but, I believe, is far more valuable and long lasting. My ability to express myself; to be able to convey to others what I want to say,and make it possible for them to truly grasp it.
I was never "ugly" and for that I am not ashamed to be glad. Certainly as a woman, a lot more doors open a lot easier when you are reasonably attractive. But I can't honestly think of anything worse in life than to be pretty but dumb as a bucket of rocks.
The years roll by and the time that we are in our "first bloom" is very short. Cosmetic help is expanding into more and more areas now, but the majority of women can't and never will be able to afford most of it. So, for that majority we just have to accept the sneaking changes until one day we dig out a photograph of us at the peak of our youth and freshness, look at it, then at our present selves in the mirror, and finally accept how big those changes have become.
But when you have a trained and conditioned mind, and have spent the years further developing the gift of communication and self expression, unlike your physical image in the mirror, that asset is one that has only got better --- has florished as your physical features have declined. If I had a chance to change the past..... to be granted physical beauty far greater than I was actually given; but be forced to do without the gift of communication I was blessed with, I would turn it down in an eyeblink. That is a gift that will remain intact with me till the day I die. I may not be able to turn anybody's head with my physical beauty any more (even though I think I look elegant in a "senior" kinda way LOL.) but I can hold an audience any time. That is more than Paris Hilton would ever be able to do if she had not become an object of attention because of her name and her gazillion dollar fortune. Take all that away, and with it, the army of people employed to dress and primp her all day every day, and I guarantee she wouldn't stand out from a dozen other female "WalMart Associates" if you stuck her inside one of those blue smocks with "how may I help you" written across the back.. I think that would apply to a slew of other young females who are currently slathered across the pages of Gossip Magazines every day and touted as "hot". But at least most of them have become famous for something they found they were somewhat skilled at. Mz Hilton, besides being a rather scrawny little mouse, I don't believe has the brains to make it at WalMart.

My eyes, they look like a sunflower in the sky. Yellow on the inside sky blue on the outside. (the pupil is the middle of the sunflower.)

My truthfulness. I can always be counted on to cut through the red tape, toss PC-ness out the door, and tell it like it is. Succinctly too.
For example, "that sucks" "she's stupid" "that's a bad idea" "that'll get you killed" "let's do THAT" "how about now?" etc.
