Absolutely! Fish don't need light. Not at all. They are perfectly content with natural lighting, whether bright, dim or dark. Lights are for human enjoyment and to encourage certain plant growth. Unless you have special plants that require special lighting needs, it is better to only have your lights on for about 4 hours or less in the evening when you are home and watching your fish. Otherwise, leave them off. During the daytime and at night.

yes absolutely
You're suppose to turn off the light for 12-14 hours at night and leave it on for 10-12 hours during the day
A timer is a big help with that
They need to rest just as we do
And don't put your tank near a window where sunlight can get to it, you will grow green algae with that
Hope that helps
Good luck

you ought to turn it off at night! Your fish don't have eyelids. How could you desire to sleep under that amazing easy without eyelids? the only element which will ensue is they're going to in all probability get the appropriate night's relax they have had in view which you obtain them! It would not stay daylight hours 24/7 in the wild!

Yes. Leaving your tank lights on all day is stressful on the fish and will lead to excessive algae growth on the glass and decorations.

Yes, to avoid algae growing and evaporation. And also raising the temperature of the water, stressing fish out, and also save your energy bill.
