With it that large now i would say he or she will be around 8 and a half pounds. That is fine.

With you having 10 more weeks to go I would watch your sodium intake and drink plenty of water for now on. Because you have gained over 30 pounds allready.
I am not saying to diet. Heavens no. Just that much of your weigt could be water weight and it will make you more comfortable towards the end if you are not bloated.
Congrats hun

Ultrasounds can be off by a pound or more, either way, at predicting weight. I would not worry about having a big baby based on the ultrasound's prediction of weight. Is your growth normal (when your doctor measures your abdomen)? That is a better indicator of the baby's size than ultrasound.

Discuss your concerns with your doctor. They are unlikely to induce before 40 weeks, however. Induced labors also have a higher chance of ending up in cesarean, so if you want to avoid cesarean inducing is probably not the way to go.

I wish you the best!

those things arent exactly accurate my friends dr told her that if she went ahead with her c-section her son would be barely 5 pounds (becuase thats what the u.s said) and he ended up being 7. And just becuase you were both around 7-8 pounds doesnt mean he will be. My parents were both very little babies (between 6 and 6 1/2 lbs) and me and my sisters were 8-10 1/2 pounds.

ultrasound only gives u the estimated baby weight. so its not really accurate. Ur baby could be under 4lbs. or above 4lbs. Doesn't neccesarrily mean u'll have a big baby.
