I think so.
Think of the deaths on 9/11. Americans are ignorant of the actual trauma inflicted on the families etc. They just say wow that sure was a big explosion (count up the bodies). Lets set a few off over there that makes it even. Ignorant again of all the trauma inflicted on the Iraqi families.
Ignorance combined with my new SUV, a wal-mart down the street lifestyle and apathy are what tearing this country apart.

I think that saying means the same thing as "You can't miss what you never knew." How can you be unhappy about something you don't know about? Some kids grow up poor, but never realize they are poor, because they don't have another reference point. These kids are going to be happier, I think, than some other poor kid who lives next to a mansion or something. So the first kids would be happier, or more blissful, in their ignorance. So I guess it depends on what you think ignorance is and how you define bliss.

That really depends on how BLISS is defined - whether it refers to a metaphysical pleasure or a temporal perception. In regards to the former, ignorance frequently plays against you, like when a salesman scams you. In regards to the latter, BLISS, being only of-the-moment, is heavily reliant upon ignorance.

Of course it is for in it there is no fear, and fear is what keeps all of us held back, or too aggressive. When a child is in a field of flowers seeing the wonder of it all, and there is above her a giant hawk that will sweep down and kill her, you do not believe that her ignorance of that is not bliss. Tell me otherwise and I might say you could be cruel. But I wont and you will agree with my statement..

Depends. Ignorance of things you can't do anything about anyway is great. Why worry about stuff you can't change? But ignorance on things that you CAN change or fix is harmful, if not dangerous. It can lower your living standard, if not outright kill you.

Ok, I could explain it with a really long post and give complex reasons, I will just make it simple.
How many happy cheerleaders do you know? And how many happy philosophers have you read about? (Almost every great thinker dies a tragic death or commits suicide).
