Playing SS/2B I assume you're also speedy so I'm going to go with Center Field. The knowledge you gained as a middle infielder will help tremendously in CF as you'll be able to read whether either of them will be able to get to a ball or if it will go through quicker than most.
If you lack speed/quickness there's always First Base, the problem with that though on a college level team, 1B is a position where they can put a Big Hitter who is weaker with the glove or has trouble reading fly balls, so that position may be hard to crack (depending on the competitive level of the school you're attending).

Best Bet - Go with the outfield, and Good Luck!

On a professional basis, lefty position players can really only place first base or the outfield. It really depends on your speed and defensive abilities. If you've got a good eye and can move quickly (likely, if you've been playing middle infield), you might want to try center field - of the lefty-friendly positions, it's the one that requires the most defensive skill.

First of all it is very rare to find a left handed SS or @b because Lefties need to take an extra step to throw the ball to first. Frankly I have NEVER seen a lefty any where on the infield except for first base ( or pitcher). So it is difficult to tell you where they are converted to.

By the way I am left handed so I played outfield!

If you can hit your will go to first so you can pick those grounders, but sorry you are going to the outfield unless you can pitch. Left handed pitchers are always at a premuim

Either to pitcher, first base or outfield.

depending on your size, either outfield or first. many infielders have also been converted into pitchers though like huston street

1st, outfield or sometimes pitcher (depending on if they have any ability to pitch!)
