We are quite sceptical that they could organise anything - their response was typical - shutting the stable door after the horse had bolted.
The weasel words of the minister in charge of doing nothing quickly on newsnight were just the same old story. Very little has changed about this government.

It has been very difficult to no where the floods will appear as we have never had rain like this but you can be assured they will try to make certain we are prepared for it next time by building flood defences.All our 999 services together with a great many helpers should be commendated for all the hard work and expertease they have shown to stop this from being a major disaster.
