Because i heard that u gain etleast 10 pounds on the shot but why does it make you gain weight on it?

People say its due to appetite increase, but that did not happen with me. I ate as much as I did when not on the shot and I gained a lot of weight. Even working out and eating right I gained weight.
Weight gain is only one of many negative side affects of the shot, please research it thoroughly (google "depo provera lawsuit" and check out the reviews on http://www.rateitall.com )

There is a significant risk of weight gain with all hormonal birth controls. These hormones play a factor in regulating energy levels and metabolism. Depo is basically a shot chocked full of progesterone that lasts for 3 months straight. Some people gain weight because that's how their body reacts to the surge of hormones. Other people may not gain weight at all.

If you plan to have children, I would suggest reading up and researching the Depo shot. MANY women have had trouble or no luck at all conceiving after taking the Depo shot. Some women took several years to even get their period back after stopping the shot.

I am on the shot and I haven't gained any weight I have actually lost some.

HORMONES- just a suggestion get on the IUD. I gained a lot of weight on the Depo!!
