Does it take a long time to dry the clothes?

If you use a lot of dryer sheets in your dryer, they can coat things with a clear coat of chemicals. The best thing is to periodically wash the lint filter with soapy water and scrub it with a nylon brush. Even though you can't see the coating, it may affect the air flow through the dryer.

Also, lint builds up everywhere in the dryer vent system, not just the filter. The outside wall cap may be full of lint, the duct from the dryer to outside, and internal ducts in the dryer may get all linted up.

You need to pull the washing machine out and check your hose to make sure it didn't come loose or has a hole in it.
