I know a lot of them want attention, but if they are celebs, don't they already have TONS of attention? I'm not exactly sure, which is of course, why I am asking this. Please post what you think about them!

Uh... fuzzy moo moo has a good point. They aren't exactly "inspired", what I meant to say was WHAT MAKES THEM DO IT? What is the process going on inside their head?

Well, I think that they do bad stuff just to get more attention on them, and I do agree with you that they DO have a lot of attention, but I guess it's not enough for them. Like Britney Spears, she had fans before she shaved her head, but now, everybody thinks that she's totally weird and what she did was stupid.

They have too much money when they are too young, nobody is watching over them, they have too much freedom. They work hard to make the mone and they want to show it off. In a way they are sort of insecure. It's as if they have this feeling that people only like them because they are famous, so they are going to go out and party and buy friends and in the long run, ssort of prove it true, that people only want them for their money. It's a vicious cycle. It would be better if they had someone managing their money, so they couldn't just go out and party all the time.

their sudden wealth and fame along with their youthfulness, cripples their ability to make well thoughtout decisions. im 22 and as much as i'd like to say that i'd be smart if i ever made it big, im sure i would party 24/7. these kids are thrust into a world where everyone idolizes them, their given booze, cocaine, and are expected to be promiscuous. And everyone around them is hot, talented or funny. So its gotta be difficult to say at a young age that i'll keep my head on straight and moderate my partying.
Especially lindsay lohan who comes from a horrendous upbringing. her dad is an excon and her mom is a slut who encourages her to be this loose party girl. I feel bad because these kids dont stand a chance. Of course we're all a bit jealous, but i would rather be a low level celebrity like an allstar athlete.

Alot of stuff I think we will never understand. As an addict in recovery (sober for almost 2 years). I think that they want to feel numb to all of the public scrutiny. They are constantly "under a microscope" so to speak. They have to way to get around that accept to hide in plain site by getting high and drunk. There are deeper issues with people like Lindsay. Lack of childhood, negative father and mother figures. I could go on and on. It is basically a way to block out pain....and fear.

We all have temptations thrown at us which we must avoid in order to maintain our integrity, honor - and our freedom from prison. This is especially true for celebrities. They just have more opportunity to behave badly. For celebrity teens, you have the added elements of immaturity (their ability to make judgements is not yet fully matured) and lack of accountability (most teens have people around them keeping them straight, but many celebrity teens are surrounded by yes-men).

It's a shame, because they have so much, and so many of them blow it.

For one I think they feel they are unstoppable with the money that they have. I also think that they are under a lot of pressure from their peers and there's no telling what goes on in their personal lives.

Attention can be like a drug. You get it and you crave more and more. And you can also become addicted to the thrills and pure adrenaline of "living dangerously."

Might as well get it out of your system while you're young... and hope that you live to tell about it!

the fact that they have money and belive that they can get away with stuff. just because they feel that they are on top of the world they are untouchable.

Uh, I think "inspires" doesn't fit in this situation. And nothing inspires them to do it. They just want to do drugs and want to drink.
