You can wash satin the same as cotton, however you have to be quick to get them out of the dryer. I hated satin because it was always cold when you climbed in the bed, and your sheets slide all over the place!

Ok, here's a funny little "story" about satin sheets.. Satin on satin = not sexy moment... A long time ago before I was married with children I had a bf that tried to make the bedroom sexy with satin sheets and for me a satin nightgown-- Well, I took a little jog to the bed and slid right into the wall and got a really good bump on the head..The "romance" was over and I stay away from satin ! Also, I think it looks like a cheap hotel ! Ah La Hugh Heffner 1960's.... That's just me... I would buy some really high thread count cotton sheets.. They are super soft and they last a long time.. I have a couple sets of 1000 thread count that were a bit under $100 a set.. I love them.. Good luck and I hope you got a little bit of a chuckle...

Well my advice would be to stick with cotton. Satin sheets make you sweat horribly and they stain and collect dust really bad. In the end the cotton sheets are gonna be the most practical for use.

Satin sheets first are cold and slide all over, then they retain your body heat so you sweat like crazy. Cotton is best but if you are going to go cotton, get the 1,000 thread count cotton sheets. Pretty expensive but they feel so good they are worth it!

Apple Mango Tango Dryer Sheets- 2.47
Box of Tide Laundry Soap- $7.95
1,000 count sheets on ebay- $89.99
Good night sleep- PRICELESS!

THe first answerer is very right about drying satin sheets, they will burn easily.

Satin is also slippery, so the sheets don't always stay tucked in....
