I was going to install the Sims 2 on my computer, but when I put it in, my computer wouldn't recognize that anything was in the cd drive- I even looked in My Computer and in D drive and nothing showed up. I successfully installed it on another computer of mine, so i don't think it is the disc that is at fault. how can i access it so that I can install it?

is the drive on both your computers CD, or is one CD and the other is DVD? If they are the same, they should both work. If they are the same and one doesn't work, then check for loose connection, or broken cable ribbon.

Do other discs read OK in the drive ?
If so is the game on a CD or a DVD (read box) If it's a DVD, is the drive a DVD drive ? If not it will NEVER read,

If other discs DO NOT read, buy a new DVD drive.
