Unless someone has changed it before the gasket in your truck is a one piece silicon gasket that will come right out without scraping it, just be sure to get all the metal eyelets out. These gaskets split quite often so we got good really good at changing them, remove the starter, unbolt the left motor mount from the block and the frame, drain the pan and remove the filter. After that you can use a block and jack the engine up on the balencer, this will give you enough room to fish the old gasket out and slip the new one around the pan and install it. If you got a friend handy bring him along, an extra pair of hands are nice. It also helps to cut off some bolts and use 4 of them for alignment dowels in the corners till you get everything started back together.

no i have changed several oil pans/gaskets on 90s fords they rust out and leak, you dont have to pull the motor but you have to remove the exaust, motor mount bolts, radiator shroud, and you can lift the motor high enough to get the pan off, only trick is you have to remove/reinstall the oil pump with the pan in place, basically you have to drop the pan remove the pump so the pan will slide out,put the pan back in place install the pump then bolt the pan down
