Unfortunatly no. Although people are trying hard to change that it is only making little progress with the hard work that they are doing. America has to accept that they are having some problems, such as fast food franchisees and also many new game consoles and games. It doesn't mean that ALL Americans have the same problems. People who have had that problem once are trying to fix it, while some people are still improving their own lifestyle. Some parents are too stressed out, or they have work, so they just get the most convinient foods and things for them to do, whithout really bothering themselves. Really, it just depends on the individual...

America will never learn anything except how to make loads of money out of making people suffer, starve and even making money out of killing other people. To prove a point, Starbucks pays £0.70 per kilo of Ethiopian coffee. They make over £200 profit on that kilo of coffee and yet Ethiopian farmers have to watch their children die of disease because they cannot afford simple anti-biotics. They also cannot afford to have their children educated and cannot afford to save any money for bad times. Come the next drought and many farming families will die from famine simply because the crops failed and they have no money for food. Starbuck's however, will just buy coffee from other poor countries and turn their evil backs on the poor Ethiopian farmer and his family. The UK Government should pass legislation that caps the amopunt of profit a US Corporation can make here and should also legislate a fair price for commodities from poor countries. Starbuck's can easily affors to pay an Ethioian farmer £2 - £3 per kilo for the coffee and still make an extortionate profit. However, Starbucks ceased buying Ethiopian coffee for a while as the farmers wanted more money. Sadly, the farmers have had to accept the price dictated by Starbucks or starve. Therefore, the farmers had no choice, even though many go bankrupt as they get less for the coffee than what it costs to produce it. As for junk food, MAcDs and others have been killing unknown numbers around the world for many years. The oil they use is "Hydrogenated" and causes blockage of the arteries etc. which eventually leads to heart failure. MacDs and others have known the danger for many years and yet continue to kill for profit. How about an International Law that blocks all trade with the US, all US Corporation's assets outside of the US are seized to pay compensation and unpaid taxes and US companies are banned from setting up outside of the US. Only then will Americans learn anything.
