Over dependence on oil for one. As well the increasing national debt to countries like China which enjoy watching our hypocritical butts soil and beg for their business. Hypocrasy when it comes to global emissions is another. The agitation of other nations via intrusive wars and CIA action to bring about these wars. Eventually the United States is facing a radiological attack which will cause mass chaos and what Bush fears the most. An exodus of well off citizens that don't feel the need to share the burden of his actions via the resultant dirty or strategic nuclear attack.

Myopia, and greed.
The US is run by large corporations, which in turn select politicians to pass bills for them. For the past 8 years they've pretty much gotten a free pass, few investigations, tax breaks, and major incentives. This greed reflects on a lack of concern for the environment, and lack of respect for the rest of the world. Imagine a really fat bully with a machine gun, who steals lunch money, and randomly beats up kids, at the same time acting as a pimp, and there's your picture.
The myopia will cause the US to eventually stumble and find itself scrambling to get back to where it once was. Watch out, China's coming. And no, I don't like China, but they make half of what you own, and now are producing more than 10% of what you eat! pretty frightening, huh?

The evil influence of mulitculturalism will eventually bring about the destruction of Western Civilization. It's proponents have a radical agenda, which requires the destruction of the foundations of our culture, and the praising of tribal cultures as somehow more pure. They easily ignore the countless faults of these cultures, and cast anyone who judges them honestly as racist. Meanwhile, they blame the west for every fault of humanity. Our cities have become tribal lands already, with tribes (gangs) ruling the streets. It does not take a majority of people to bring about the downfall of a civilization. When the violence behind multiculturalism reaches a critical mass, it will dissolve the surrounding culture.

Every nation ultimately fails as a result of an excess of the same characteristics that once made it great.

In our case, enough people will want to come here and take advantage of the economic opportunities, freedoms, and government programs that the country will literally go bankrupt--there just won't be enough money to go around.

Greed....

Greed of our government, greed of the corporations, and greed of the American people.

EDIT TO ADD---

China would be a nonissue if the government and corporations weren't so greedy and looking out for the best interest of this country.

Greed is the root cause.
