I don't want to offend anyone, but it seems like everytime I go onto this site, there's nothing but Harry Potter questions. Now, no offense to Harry Potter fanatics, but is there any way you guys can check maybe other questions or check old questions to see if your question has already been asked? That way some other book lovers who may or may not like Harry Potter can have a chance to answer questions not relating? Rather than spending such a long time sifting through all the Potter questions?? Thanks

Ok Orly??? I don't see a problem with you answering the questions - in fact, i'm glad that many people are getting back to reading - but these are the SAME questions being asked.. that was my point my dear.. no need to be rude- I was not rude to you.

I hate that you are not being rude enough. These little HP jerks have basically ruined the B&A section. It's very hard and tedious to find actual questions. You have to go 30 screens deep to find a dozen non-HP questions. Disrespect -- that's what HP teaches these ADHD freaks.

Harry Potter fans can use resources, such as www.hp-lexicon.org to check up on facts and answers, especially by reading the forums.

Yahoo!Answers could assist by temporarilty creating a Harry Potter subset of questions.

However, I see no reason that your questions about other books cannot be asked and answered as things are set up now. Patience is a virtue and polite people understand that the Harry Potter phase will once again die down.

Harry Potter fans could also google Harry Potter forums and find oodles of places to ask their questions rather than on here. They could even start up their own Yahoo Group and invite other enthusiasts from here.

I agree with you. The questions are redundant. Too bad Yahoo Answers doesn't filter better so that when they ask questions with too many of the same terms as questions already asks, it prohibits the question. At least maybe make it more painful for someone to keep asking the same things over and over.

As an avid Harry Potter fan, I have to agree with and support you on this. I love discussing HP, but it gets a little tedious seeing the same questions pop up that have been asked and answered several times already. (I've even seen these questions in sections other than Books and Authors.)

I agree that it does get annoying to see the same question posted a million times. i think its just all the excitement about the final book coming out. hopefully people will be able to move past it a bit in time. I am a Harry Potter freak buti love talking about other books as well...its best to broaden ones horizons ya know :)

PS You know whats kinda funny though...by posting a question aout Harry Potter in a way you are contributing to the problem :) Dontcha hate when that happens lol

There could be a whole new section created on Yahoo! Answers just for Harry Potter. :)

Just keep skipping on to the next page when all the questions stop.

Me too I don't ask any questions or answer anything about Harry Potter though. I agree but maybe if you go to different categories other then books and movies maybe you won't see them anymore, maybe.Just trying to help =]!

Yes, it is overkill. Almost like a Public Relations job being perpetrated. I have decided to stop answering H.P. questions, they are just something that the person asking
can find out later. Yahoo should limit the amount of the same questions that are repeated.

im a big HP fan -- but i agree that people are asking too many questions on HP and they r mainly repeated over and over again -- it does get annoying because thats all you see questions on Harry Potter

So we ought to have to sift through piles of Harry Potter questions because you don't want to have to do the reverse? That's inane. When you go looking for questions, simply skip the ones that say anything about 'Harry Potter' and I think you'll find what you want.
