Does anybody know of a website where I can get a Myspace code that can be used to see if my friends are really online or if they are hiding their 'online now' caption?

Not that I know of but then again if they are hiding from you they may not really be a 'friend'

No. It's there to give people privacy and security. Maybe they just don't want to talk to you. You do seem a little paranoid just from reading your question.
