How can you say McPhee is more popular that Hicks?
Where have you seen or heard her?
We've looked & listened, believe me-NADA.
We love Elliott Yamin & support his every success, as does his best Bro, Taylor.
But he's yet to get the REWARDS he so richly deserves.
Daughtry's CD is doing well & we're glad for him & his wife & kids.
But Chris is shy & doesn't have the personality to do talk shows or interviews....which Taylor loves doing.
Taylor's been everywhere since Idol:
On every TV talk show . . .
--many, like Leno,several times--
--lighting the Christmas tree in Rockefella Plaza--then singing, of course.
--being chosen Grand Marshal of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Feb. 2007--(they had one of the biggest turn-outs ever this year.)
And Hicks can't begin to fill all the requests for him to appear at sporting events like NBA games, NASCAR races, and Charity Golf tournaments.
Then there are the Meet & Greets he does after every concert with those who're sick or have lost a parent violently, etc. where he gives them everything they want from him for at least an hour:
albums, tee-shirts, ball-caps, autographs galore, and all the pictures they can take with him.
The guy has a big tender heart for anyone going thru hard times...and he does what he can...
Like the benefit concert for two-year old
Taylor Love who has stage four cancer . . .
No one else is doing or has done a live tour except Hicks:
His first 53 city tour was a total sell out.
He's now doing a second tour with equal success.
And, he's promoting his very funny, tell-all biography, HEART AND SOUL which was released this month...at book signings and MORE TV~shows like THE VIEW last week.
We wish everyone with a dream success.
As does Taylor Hicks...a good guy with a big heart; the whitest soul-man in America today who credits the great Ray Charles for inspiring him.
Who's not a petty, spoiled, pretty-boy who thinks he EARNED the silver spoon he's using to snort whatever...
Enjoy Taylor Hicks:
There's room for everyone to play & win . . . trust me.
Rock on...
Ariel

American Idol IS NOT a talent contest, it's a get out the vote contest. The winner isn't necessarily the most talented. IMHO, Chris Daugherty was the most talented of that group, if it was a talent contest he would have won.

I don't think the American Idol audience really knows what talent is

I think it's because Chris Elliott and Kat sing the type of music that almost EVERYONE likes...but not alot of people listen to Taylor's type of music.
...BTW...Elliott's name is spelled with 2 T's!!! :)

It really depends on what the winners do with their new fame and what branch of music they go into.

Because nearly any and every game show is rigged. Stop sending in your text votes, it's just another way for these shows to make another couple million $.
