When you celebrate Christmas in July. I know it's usually when t.v stations like Cartoon Network shows all their Christmas shows in July. And sometimes it feels like Christmas is so far away that you decide to celebrate it twice a year. I celebrate it=)

It depends on who you ask. Some say it is a retailer's attempt to make a profit in the 'down' months by cleaning out all the previous christmas merchandise. Some day it is Australia's way to have a 'traditional' christmas dinner when it is actually winter there instead of summer. For me, it is just a chance to enjoy the parts of Christmas I like without the parts I don't. I pull out the CD's and DVD's and tend to watch the 'contemporary' stuff (Hallmark/Lifetime, etc) and save the 'traditional' (White Christmas, It's a Wonderful LIfe, etc) for December. My man and I exchange gifts, but there are rules. Things must only be bought on sale, "After Christmas" Sales are legal or at the Dollar Store or even regifted (legal for Christmas in July). The point is on fun, usefulness, and thoughtfulness, and not on amount spent. I'll tell you a secret.....we do it in August too, but only on a smaller scale. 1 CD/1DVD and only $1 gifts or freebies allowed. ;-) We also make a special dinner (for both July & August) featuring christmas foods from a hot climate. This year, I'm doing Hawaiian. Happy Christmas in JULY!
