my guppy recently had babies and i dont know when i can put them back with the parents.....also when will i be able to sex them and how. : )

You can put them back with the parents when they are too large to fit in the parent mouth. That could be 4 weeks or could be longer, it depends on many, many factors on some of which you can control.
They are usually sex-able around 6-8 weeks, again that varies depending on how fast your grow and mature. The first thing you will notice is some color in the males tails, then his gonopodium will form.

You can add them back with their parents when they are about 1/2 an inch long. You will be able to sex them a little before they are 1/2 an inch long. As for sexing, males will have longer fins than females (not really a sure fire way, but it generally works). Good luck with the babies!

You can put them back with their parents when they are too big for the parents to eat them.
The males will start showing color after about a month or so.

put them back in when they start to show colour (males) or when they look big enough not to be eaten by other fish in the aquarium or their parents!
