Yes, yes Yes! The idea is just so recycled at this point it has become ridiculous. I like Jason Lee as much as the next guy I'm a big My name is earl fan but I liked him better when he was doing more independent types of film than "Underdog" I don't understand why movie studios think we want to see this type of stuff anymore I mean it was original when? The 50's or 60's when the guy from My three sons I believe his name was Fred Mcmurray was the shaggy dog but then they remade that in 1994 with Kirk Cameron (Disney did) then again last year with Tim Allen. I mean why keep doing this. Why does a movie need to be made more than once and why does a dog that talks (like the shaggy dog or underdog) need to be voiced by a celebrity. If the studios feel they must continue these ridiculous recycled ideas they could save some money by getting anyone to voice the characters of animals it really wouldn't make a difference. Are there any exceptions to this rule? Not that I can think of Danny Devito annoyed me as a dog in Look Who's talking now. Michael J Fox annoyed me more than once as an animal (A dog in homeward bound and a mouse in the subsequent Stuart Little Films) Please Hollywood enough is enough. Are there not anymore good ideas for films with animals who do not talk in which the film actually has a solid story instead of a gimmick. So the answer is yes, way too many movies of the like.
