Check your local museums. They usually like to have items donated but the larger museums will purchase an item they think is suitable for their collections.
There are antique dealers out there also. Check around.
If you live around NYC or Hollywood you can rent it out for historic or period movies.

Have a local antique store appraise it for you and they may also be willing to sell it for you. Otherwise you could contract with a consignment shop.
