My friend got her id stolen this week. We are leaving for vegas this weekend. Do you think she will be able to get into clubs and casinos with her temp. id (the paper one that the dmv gives you)?

I was carded twice while in Vegas for drinks at the casino. I am certain they're way more strict at a club. Why can't she just go get a new one? What's a temp ID? We don't have those here - we just get our pic taken and voila! ID in 10 minutes (after 3 hours of waiting in line of course).

i work in the hotel and casino industry and have been to many clubs, and even last week the bouncer in the club thought my boyfriend's real ID was fake.. I was about to go off at the bouncer.. But that just proves to show you how strict they are. Casino workers sometimes even have to go to 3 hr classes on spotting fake ID's, and if your friend's paperwork replacement does not have a picture, I would say that the chance she can use that is close to zero.. just the reality.. They're very strict about IDing - even to use a credit card to buy something, they ask for ID. If she has a secondary ID - like a passport - with a photo to use that would be much better.

They are super strict. I even got carded trying to buy a bottle of water at the outdoor bar at caesars pool. They would not let me purchase a bottle of WATER until I showed them my ID, now that is crazy strict.

They are extremely strict..I got carded at every bar and club I went to..i got carded when i used a credit card at a restaurant..and i don't look young..i was there for a week and got carded by the same bartenders more than once

does she have a student id with her pic on it? i might try presenting that to the bouncer with the temporary paper license.
