For instance, I'm walking into the mall and there is a group of Mexican men - they all stand there, staring me down like I'm a piece of meat, steadily eye raping me and whistling! It makes me so uncomfortable! I usually will turn around and literally yell "quit staring"! It's so dang annoying?!

Any reason why they tend to do this?

I can add to this....I can walk towards a group of white guys or black guys at the mall - same scenario as above and get a total different reaction!

It's always Spanish men! I'm sorry but that crap gets old!

Maybe I should have added that the area that I live in has a good amount of MEXICAN men. How do I know this? Because it's a well known thing and I have lived here my entire life. I'm not being stereotypical, I'm asking an honest question. Why can't I just walk into a mall or grocery store without the stares and hooting and hollering?!

Sure, if asians, white and black people did this type of thing like the hispanics do - I would be typing the same thing!

And obviously NOT all hispanics are Mexicans. *rolls eyes* DUH!

I'm told that where they come from it's considered sexy. Here, it's just plain rude and I have NO problem telling them so.

It is mostly Mexican men. Not just Hispanics in general. Every where I go with my girlfriend if there's Mexican men around they stare her down, with me standing or sitting right next to her. On several occasions I've asked them to stop. Some do and some don't. One guy was so blatant that he kept moving his chair to get a better view of her. I finally threatened to deck him and he finally stopped or at least tried. Very rude.

As a Mexican born in the USA here is my reply:

The reason is because 70% if not more of the "Mexicans" you deal with in the USA come from the lowest of education, social, and family backgrounds. May of these families come from freakin ranches in the middle of no where. I m not saying that farmers and people who can t read are bad people. I m just saying that they never had an educated mother to say. "Son, it is impolite to stare." Imagine, growing up without any guidance or direction as far as to what is accepted in an educated society? Similar to all the other ignorant peoples of the world. Look at the things they do. Enough to make you gasp and shake your head.

The Mexicans in the USA do not represent the Middle class or educated peoples of Mexico. My family in Mexico are all lawyers, doctors, mayors, people in politics and I can guarantee you 115% we don t stare. They have well paying careers and have NO need to jump over borders.

It is not a compliment. Any woman that takes it as a compliment is delusional. It s disrespectful for a man to look at a woman up and down. Most men are discreet when they notice a woman they find attractive. Men from Mexico think women are below them and they can treat women like this. There is a huge difference when you notice someone attractive vs gawking that comes off predatory.

I grew up in an hispanic community. I have been given in extensive verbal fights with men plenty. I cant stand being stared at, whistled at or have feedback made at me from all of us. I asked considered one of my friends why men act like that. She stated that in the process Mexico the girls see that as a compliment. They forget approximately on the subject of the habit, yet secretly they prefer the attention. it is form of like while a male peacock reflects his tail feathers in front of the female. Like a mating dance. i hit upon it disgusting, stressful and insulting. I assume to be taken care of with equality with the help of fellows and that i'll proceed to handle it as a sexist insult, no count number what race they are.

Without playing games, don’t be available 100% of the time or let your life be an open book. A man that comes on too strong or doesn’t have outside interests will scare a woman away just as much as it would if the circumstances were reversed. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?3xSD

Women don’t want to feel as though they are completely responsible for your happiness and that is what it feels like when the other person has no outside interests. Men who are overeager or jump when the woman says jump are the ones who are more likely to end up in the friend zone. This doesn’t mean that you should play the game of not calling for a few days; it means that you should set healthy boundaries until you both naturally find a spot for the other in your lives.

Let's not get stereotypical, now. You should have asked, "why
do SOME Hispanic men stare at women so much?"

Possible scenario could be that you're so hot and sexy. Or
that these particular group of men were intoxicated, disrespectful and/or horny. Who knows why these men behaved the way that they did...you probably should have asked them if you really need to know that badly.

But the BIG question is: had these men been of your own race would you have reacted entirely different to the situation,
altogether. Would you be on Yahoo Answers asking, "why do
Caucasian men stare at women so much?" Were you merely offended because of the race of the of men doing the staring- where you otherwise, would have been flattered? I'm just posing the question, and I'm only inclined to ask based upon your comments.

Then again I should probably cut you a break because you did state that you would normally reel around and blurt out,
"quit staring!"..

If I've offended you, please accept my apologies.

Love, peace and happiness.

I'm so sorry, It is in the male hormones, we can't help it. In their brain, they are trying to imagine you without clothes. At least they find you attractive, isn't that a slight plus? Well... maybe not.
