If Bush&company does fake another terrorist attack, and institutes marshal law,?

Question

what will he do about the millions of armed american citizens that will rise up against the police, military and any mercenaries he tries to move against us? there are many more of US then there are of his supporters. Thoughts ?

Thank you to so far, no one, for actually answering my question. way to go for hyping up garbage, I asked a legitimate question, some folks think this is going to happen, and i want to know what they think the american public will do and how the bushteam will re-act. stick to the question, anything other then that will garner negative feedback for bullshiting on my question.

If there is another terrorist attack and assuming it is worse than 9/11, if marshal law is declared, in order to prevent the millions of armed citizens from rising up what we'll see is an expansion of executive power and authority. We will probably see new so called "anti-terrorism" laws that have nothing to do with fighting terrorism but infringing on people's rights and expanding governmental control being passed. For example, laws suspending the elections and giving all power to the President, and Congress to be disolved. Maybe even a law suspending the Constitution. Of course, they will assure us that is temporary and needs to be done to protect the country from terrorism. This will be done very shortly after the attacks to play on people's fear. There will some resistance to these new laws but due to fear and intimidation of another attack they will be pushed through anyway. Of course, the majority of people who are still scared and trusting the government to help them will more than likely back it. We will then start to see the if your not for me, then you are against me attitude arise. Those that are for the Party have certain "privileges" such as owning guns. Those that are against the Party will not have these "privileges". Then there will be an expansion of military power. Pretty soon the military will start taking over law enforcement duties, instead of police we will see the National Guard on the streets. Check points and curphews will be set to more easily arrest people. We will probably see people who are resisting disappearing in the middle of the night. Soon we will be living in fear of speaking out against this oppresion. We will sink more and more into a dictatorship until eventually we are ruled by a dictator. If we look at history, this is exactly how dictators have gotten into power in the past.

First, i don't believe that 9/11 was faked. I personally know two people who arrived on the scene within two hours after the collapse and worked on the site for the next two months. How two planes being flown into the building could be faked i don't know and if you are implying our government did it then you have never worked in the government. Nothing can be kept secret that is that big and complicated to do. Second, as a soldier, i would follow the orders of my superiors until such a time that i felt i was doing something illegal or against humanities common laws of decency. I would then lay down my arms and take what punishment was administered. I do not believe in insurrection against our government except as a very last resort, and have a lot of faith in the checks and balances in our constitution. While it may seem that it doesn't work in every situation, i can't see our system failing on such a large scale. We elect our leaders for a reason, and if we don't trust them to do what we want then we need to vote and express our opinions in peacable ways. I would never presume that i know more than the combined wisdom, experience and common sense of the senate, house, supreme court or the president combined. And they too are fathers, mothers and have loved ones.

OK you've got to be kidding! No "army" of citizens armed with shotguns, rifles and handguns can stand up to the United States! Let's say an entire large city revolted, a serious attack against the government... do you think it would take more than two hours to stop it? Now just as we all know that there haven't been any terrorist attacks faked by our government and we also know that amongst the people there is no agreement on which direction the country should be moving so no alliance or half arsed army of the people will ever be formed.

I am not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that the majority of armed Americans support Bush.

You have nothing to worry about, though. There will be no fake attack or martial law.

If anyone thinks for one second, the United States military would not massacre their own people in a case like this, think again. Bush and his cronies would think nothing of killing millions of our citizens for even less.
Saddam would be considered a saint compared to Bush.

That is not as way out as some think. Bush has already passed an executive order that says that soldiers can fire on Americans. He has also stated that those opposing the war can have their bank accounts frozen. I do think that the police, the national guard and the citizens will fight back, I pray that they will.

How does one "fake" a terrorist attack? If a group of people blow up a building they are terrorists, regardless of their motives.

Anyway...the question is a little loaded because you presume that our government has already done this before. Decades of science-fiction books, TV shows, and movie plots notwithstanding, this has never happened in reality. Conspiracy theories are fun mental exercises in creative thinking, not representations of reality.
