Reality is a commodity. You can make it up as you go. However, some people's reality is somehow realer than others.

Alter? Possibly, but isn't this what the administration has done all along. I agreed with the war, not for their reasons, but for my own. I now think the war should end, again for my own reasons. Unfortunately it has become impossible to accept their reasoning because they are constantly changing it. Now Bush states essentially that we will be in Iraq definitely until the end of his administration and he is trumpeting the terror tune louder than ever. My question is what happened to the re-evaluation in September because the latest statements from the administration leave me with the impression that their minds are already made up and we are just being treated like simple hicks who cannot understand the reality. Face facts, the war in Iraq will not end as long as Bush is in office plain and simple. It doesn't matter what perception they create because they don't really care what we think on the matter anyway.

Yes, reality makes them look like the occupiers who are colossal failures, like they are.

Remember the failure is not in any way the military or the soldier's fault. It is the alleged "leadership"

That is what happens when you let a group of "Chickenhawks" become the "Commander in Chief"and his cabinet. They start a war against someone who is not our enemy solely to enable their supporters to make a tidy profit with no concern for any soldier or his/her family.

Bush is playing at being president. A great example of this is "Mission Accomplished" where he pranced around in a flight suit and pretended to be like the fighter pilots he was with. In reality, when he was not AWOL while in the service , he was fling a plane back and forth from TX to FL with vegetables to deliver. Hardly a fighter pilot!

They are doing what they have always done, blame it on someone else!

Torture? Fault of a few soldiers.
Loss of every right we have? Fault of the Terrorists.
Incriminating E-Mails Lost? Clerical Error
Iraq? It's the fault of the War Protesters at home!

He has never held a job that was not a political payback and he was horrible at each job he attempted.

He blames all his faults on everyone but him. He is a narcissistic tyrant who is controlled by bad people who have no other goals other than to line their pockets and the pockets of their supporters!

According to Bush:
1. Having found in July 3 times more weapons around Baghdad proves, his surge is working (never mind, that casualties are up, bombings are up, attacks are up)
2. Having now 5 times more Al Queda operatives in Iraq is a sign, he is drawing them away from the USA (never mind, they have quadrupled their number in the last six month worldwide and most of the one in Iraq are Sunnis)
3. Still harboring a stalled economy since he came to office in 2000, Bush is ever desperate, to distract.

Well since there was never any allegiance to reality in the first place, I think the answer is no. They have never dealt with reality...so there's no need to alter it.
