People want to think that the asker is interested in what they have to think. If I thought every answer was going to go to a vote, I don't think I'd bother. I'm quite disappointed when I get ten points from anywhere other than the asker. Which reminds me, I have a question that needs attention.

Nooooooooooooooo Dr Bad as the best answers never get picked when the question goes to vote. It's usually the first few answers regardless of whether they are good or bad that get picked.
I also like my 3 points so always choose mine. :)

No I hate my questions going to vote. I don't have an issue with this, there is one guy who nearly always hits the nail on the head with his answers. If only he would get down off that wall and come and talk to me... ;)

It's only 3 points. I throw my points away like a badly behaved little boy. I only put doubtful ones to the vote.

To be honest I find maybe 80% give very similar answers and 20% will have gone that extra mile. Out of the few, there will always be one thats slightly better!
So they deserve the points!
