I think the voters will not ignore the fact he has 3,000 hits - every other player with such numbers has made the HOF.
Also, Biggio played his career with only one team - sometimes an advantage (though not for the likes of Jim Rice).
Biggio was a multiple all-star, had severa doubles, etc.
He will make the HOF, but I do understand why you ask the question. He is arguably the least dominant player to ever make it to 3,000 hits. Depending on who else retires this year and is on the ballot with him, he may not be a first-balloter as a result.

In my opinion he could've retired 3 years ago and would've still been a Hall of Famer. 3,000 is just a number, although a significant one because it's put Biggio more in the public's consciousness.
He was the best second baseman in baseball for about 10 years. To me being the best at your position for that long a time span means you are a no-holds-barred Hall of Famer. it's a shame it's taken one career milestone for many people to finally appreciate what a great player Biggio has been.

Just a steady ballplayer. His production is just average. A career .282 hitter. Nice player - but not special. It took him way too long to get 3000 hits. He should have retired a few years ago, but was greedy trying to get the 3000th hit. No way in the Hall.

A steady player that was steady long enough to be hall of fame worthy. 3000+ hits and 400+ steals is not bad.

That is a good question, he has a high total of stats because he has played for so long...if it were basketball and you averaged only 10 points a game and played for 40 years, youll probly be pass kareem on the all time points list even though you were average and your longevity is your best feature

Steady HOFer.
It'll be 2013, there's the five-year wait plus the incidental turn of the calendar.
