I think that it'll be perfect as long as your not a bride's maid or anything, you don't want to take the limelight off the bride.=)

it is very cute
but you SHOULD NOT wear white to a wedding! It takes away from the beautiful bride. I would splurge a little a buy a comfortable formal dress that you would wear again. Try the mall.

I def wouldn't wear white to a wedding especially considering the variety of styles in wedding dresses, yours might look similar!

Sorry to say - the dress is a true white & shouldn't be worn to a wedding even if it has a black sash & you add black accessories.
If your friend doesn't want to keep the dress or is willing - you can see if you can have it dyed.

Personally I think it would be ok, it's not wedding dress styles so it shouldn't compete with the bride's dress. If you can, check with her to get her thoughts though. The worst thing would be getting there and finding out the bride is mad at you!

As long as you're just going to watch and you're not going to show if off like the bride will. It should be fine. It's a really cute dress by the way.

I don't think that's too short because it looks like its knee-length. I also think it's okay to wear it since you have the black belt/sash on it.
If you decide not to go with this dress, try second-hand clothing stores and the clearance racks at stores that carry formal and semi-formal wear (Macy's, Von Maur's, etc.).
